since he is very new to Paragon city, Edward, since being redeemed, has only a few affiliates.
The Priest: The man who enabled him to begin his path to redemption, to whom Edward is eternally grateful.
Codename: Since he is living at Moth Cathedral he will be getting to know his compatriot a little better.
Edward is now working for the Unity Vigil.
Edward has switched names to Darkness Redeemed now he has achieved his Angelic form.

Slowly the old Edward is starting to seep through once again, though there's no malisciousness this time in his actions. He recently reaquired his old look (old man, grey skin, white hair etc) which may be the cause for his older personality traits to come through.
He's mostly harmless these days of course and doesn't continue doing rather dangerous experiments like his madness use to compell him to do back in the day, instead he's more business focused.

By accepting Christ into his heart, he is bound to serve the Lord until he can be truly redeemed at the day of Judgement. As his newly appointed alias 'The Sword of Redemption' he is as quick to forgive those that seek it as he is to administer justice to those that do not.

Thanks to his demonic form he has power over the darkness within him, manifesting that as powerful dark-infused blows while his demonic body allows him to regeneration any physical harm done to him rather quickly.

Having finally gotten use to his wings again he once more takes the skies, flying at his own pace. Now he has attained full power he can also move at blindingly quick speed across the ground should the situation call for it.

As he is evolving and adapting into his demonic form, he's found that he is able to run faster than most normal humans (Swift) and his demonic regeneration has been further enhanced through focusing and training (Health). His endurance levels have reached their peak, able to fight for far greater extended periods of time than most mortal men (stamina).

He is skilled in technology and science, that's one thing that most certainly wasn't lost during his transformation.
Transference of life: To give ones own life in order to save the innocent is the greatest cause
He has a lot of life and a long time to live it in, that is if the good Lord decides to stay the apocalypse for a while (just like all people, Edward has no idea when Judgement Day will arrive). By giving out a large amount of his life essence to another through skin contact, he can heal wounds or for especially large amount of life essence, bring the dead back to life.
This effect is intensively draining on Edward, it requires him to rest up for a period ranging from four hours to upto a day. Once the transference of life essence is used he looks significantly older even in demon form (more akin to his original old self). His sense of balance goes and he is generally weakened.
Immortality: Blessing and Curse
Edward is quite literally immortal, he is cursed to serve the good Lord, doing good deeds and administering his wrath, until the Day of Judgement is at hand. Even in death the Almighty will not let him rest and Edward will slowly come back to life.
Bound by true name: Speaketh my name and I will serve
Not so much an ability as a weakness. As with all demons Edward can be bound by his True name (Myzer'rak). He has only confinded his True name in one person (Lady Sadako) simply because he knows that the person is bound by honor only to use his name to banish him if he ever turns from the light.

He is particularly vunerable to magic and to those using his true name (see above). He also has a healthy avoidance of those using Psionics, he simply doesn't like having his head screwed with any more than it already is, though he posses no particular vulnerability to such.

Edward was taken to Moth Cathedral by Ben 'Big Lunk' Campbel who had agreed to smuggle him into Paragon under the cover of darkness. Edward was bound in chains around his ankles and feet (this was for his own peace of mind more than anything) and dumped outside the Cathedral. Making his way inside he explained his situation to The Priest. Who said if Edward gave his heart and soul to God that he would be gifted a chance to redeem himself, it would take until the day of Judgement itself but there was the chance. Edward knew that an eternity of serving in the Lords name was far better than the possibility of an eternity of damnation. Though he faced a trial of stepping into burning holy water which turned to thick blood and his demon becoming unleashed, he managed to come through the Baptism and arise, Doctor Mechano no more but the Sword of Redemption.
Edward is currently out doing good in the world, he has found it pleasantly pleasing that people, rather than running in fear or cursing his name, are actually happy to see him helping them. He's finding the whole experience rather rewarding.
He has developed into somewhat of a monster hunter, seeking, with the aid of others, to bring down the biggest threats to Paragon City. So far his list of defeated foes includes Babbage, Kraken, Lusca, Adamanstor, Jack in Irons, Eochai, a Kronos Titan, Jurrasik and he has succesfully stopped a Paladin construction. Now with all the biggest threats taken on and defeated with the aid of others he looks for new challenges.
He recently joined Unity Vigil and hopes that through this group that offer second chances, he will do the city some good, eventually being fully paradoned for his previous crimes.
Edward has begun helping Loup Garou aka Jean-Luc (or Jac as Ed sometimes refers to him jokingly) in his training, though the friendly 'sparring' is a lot more viscious than most, the regeneration factor they both possess means they can afford to go all out on each other. Though Jean-Luc has yet to defeat Ed in a one on one session, they've both given each other batterings which smart for a while (broken ribs, broken noses, claw wounds).
Edward finally achieved the Security level of 50 and was award his 'hero of the city' medal after he defeated Tyrant in a one on one fight to rescue Statesman.
[edit] Downfall of a hero
Edward had trouble controlling his demon side, having gone beserk and butchered some Freakshow while investigating an attack on an office block. He is currently awaiting trial but was allowed back out into the community because he was 'no threat to other Heroes or Civilians'.
The trial went ahead, Edward and his lawyer did their best to defend him, up until the very last witness Edward's case seemed to be well and truly won...it was only when a man known as Soren testified that Edward had quiet words with him to break him out of the armoured prison transport if he went down that the case went downhill.
The Jury found Edward guilty of manslaughter, sentencing him to 15 years in prison. Edward was not at all pleased, in his mind he had done the right thing, he had stopped criminals that would simply escape from the Zig and hurt more people, by killing a few and submitting them to the Lords justice he felt he had saved four times the number of people. Edward decided, he was to abide by Gods Low and not the law of man.
Soren kept true to his promise, helped stage a break out from the Prison van along with the help of a crew of villains including Wild Red. Edward was chased down through the sewers by Cindersnap only for Ed to escape using an Oroborous portal saying that the heroes would 'see him somewhere in time' before departing.
Some say that it was the events of the trial which clearly sent Edward over the edge, he returned to the Rogue Isles and once again took up the Monkier of Dr Mechano... ((See Dr Mechano for Edwards pre and post hero history)).

The Lord recently rewarded him with the option of a human form, for a while he was forced to remain in his Demonic one but he has done enough good to earn himself something slightly more pleasant looking. Now he has progressed far enough the Lord is willing to see him as some kind of unconventional Angel, gifting to him an Angelic form.
The one thing to survive unchanged through his Baptism is his mechanical right arm, seems like nothing will replace his missing arm but Edward has grown fond of his replacement.

His 'family' of robots currently occupy a warehouse in Kings Row, the local clockwork have learned to avoid these new robots, particularly the 8ft tall, 2 ton assault bot known as Elise. They enjoying their new home in Paragon.
Edward has taken a Shivan as a pet, calling it Steve, Though treated more an equal than a pet, Steve can't speak but can type and Edwards seems to understand the various guttral growls, rasps and grunts that Steve gives off. Steve is normally sent to handle basic business negotations, the fact he can't speak at all hasn't hindered him, most people when greeted with a Shivan pushing a contract infront of them, smile, nod, sign the piece of paper and get the hell out of the room. Though his phone negotations with the FDA broke down due to his inability to communicate. Edward is working on a translator for Steve. Edward thinks that the shivan will make a shrewd business once he can talk.
Edward almost never sleeps, his body can survive without sleep but he is still affected by sleep deprivation, the one day he does sleep (or rather is forced to) is Sunday, since it was commanded by the Lord that it should be a day of rest. Even on sundays he sleeps a minimum of four hours before going back on the job of heroing. His current partner (see below) is conscerned that when he works on his projects he often tunnels out everything else.
He is currently paired up with Jambayla, the two hit it off after many months of Jam teasing him. Jam is insisting on taking Edward cat, Mr Fluffy, to her house if only because the cat seems to just disappear for days on end in the cluttered and labyrinthian lab that Ed owns under his house in Kings Row. She also had to get use to a Shivan making morning coffee...an odd experience for the best of people.
