Meet Pierre Caval, aka. the Shadow Pariah - Private Investigator and licensed Hero. My first and favorite RP character, he is a bit dark at times and he's had his problems with corruption from use of dark energy but is rather stable at present. He has been with the Militia for a year, through most of which time he has been in love with fellow militiant, Wavekite, with no success.

Shadow Pariah utilizes the power of his possessor to use his Dark Melee, wrapping his hands in nether energies that suck the energy out of the victim, leaving them tired and weak. Mostly, though, they just do blunt force with increased speed and strength.

Though the nature of his connection with the nether realms is still a mystery to him, Pierre has gotten used to it. It is like an extra muscle, one that grows in time as it is used. After 77 years, Pierre has become capable of drawing so much power that his appearance changes temporarily. He has learned to do this on two levels. When the fighting gets rough, he increases the amount of dark energy he draws from the nether realms which increases both strength and the rate of his healing. Visibly, this means that a white mask covers his face and his eyes blacken. Lately, he has also become capable of channeling so much energy that his entire body is covered by a white shell, complete with wings. In such a state he truly looks like a demon and his power is vastly increased. However, it is unknown how long he can hold this without being influenced by it, so he rarely enters this state and never holds it for long.

In addition, the darkness allows him to shroud himself, effectively stealthing him in dark areas.

Back in the 30's, Pierre was a pretty good shot with a handgun and lately he has tried to regain his former skill.

Pierre's regeneration allows him to survive most wounds, but if he is instantly killed (decapitated, blown to pieces or otherwise brutally molested) then he might be dead before the regeneration has time to kick in. Furthermore, when fully unfolding and entering his "demon" state, he is somewhat more aggressive and has to be careful not to let his temper run off with him.

Pierre never leaves home without his handgun and is also known to carry around a pager, a notebook, pocket binoculars, a cell phone and various other small objects.

- Pierre is in love with Jennifer Sula aka Wavekite from the Militia, though she is currently dating someone else.
- Pierre recently found out that he wasn't really possessed, but instead suffered from multi-personality-disorder which, I might add, is a terrifying thing when you have a connection to a dark, demonic realm..
