Grew up in a pretty normal household, as with most mutants discovered her fire powers round about puberty and decided to take up a form of self defence to compliment them. In this case, melee combat using claw weapons. Hangs around Paragon City doing the hero gig by choice, and so people think she's great. A pretty mundane life for someone living in Paragon City.
