As a retired navy officer, former test pilot and former Hero Corp employee he has some connections there but nothing firm. He had a steady job as an assistant and security advisor to doctor Savannah Parker but since they started dating and expecting a child he quit and now works in old people's home as a security guard.

Mitch is open minded man with somewhat roguish but honest outlook on life. In his own words he is "low maintenance" type of a guy not needing much more than money to put food on his table and pay bills. He enjoys fiddling with engines and although it is not his primary goal or desire he one day wishes to run a private airfield or mechanics store. When on job he is serious and dedicated, while when not working he is fun loving and easy going. While in his "hero mode" he can be flamboyant and a charming daredevil.

As all true comicbook heroes, on whose adventures he grew up, Mitch is out there to fight crime and oppression.

Mitch was born in a family that moved across the country a lot. Both his father, who is a scientist for the military and his mother who was a navy officer had to move from place to place depending on their duties. He grew up on superhero tales from Paragon City and comics. In his own words, while he was a kid he was a little devil. Following his mother's footsteps he entered the navy where he become a pilot and a test pilot, although he never felt right with listening orders mindlessly and had problems with his height. When his father reopened Project Supernova, originally created in 1950s with goal to make technologically advanced super soldier, he volunteered for test flights with rocket boots and general use of developed technology. But the project was short lived because the military decided that it was far cheaper to simply enlist metahumans and not spend millions on some old project. His father tried to defend the project but he was released from job. But, his father continued working on the project by his own and Mitch resigned from the military soon after his father left. After his father successfully finished the project he gave it to Mitch. Not wanting to leech his parent's money Mitch moved to Paragon City. He made himself a costume in honor of many golden age heroes he admired as a child and using the technology his father made Mitch tried to apply for jobs that would use the equipment he had and guard the civilians. After some unpleasant experiences with Hero Corp (he worked on guard duties until they asked him for more) because he started feeling as a mercenary, he resigned from there too. For months he was doing freelance guard and hero jobs here and there until he finally found what he searched for, a steady yet unexciting job at doctor Parker's office as security consultant and assistant. This way he can have an almost normal life and pay, while in free time he can do his hero extracurricular activities. But since doctor Parker is a psychiatrist for heroes, this "unexciting" job turned out to be pretty exciting soon. Doc Parker become a target of unknown assassin, that almost killed her with a sniper shot. Mitch managed to call emergency on time and save her. And as if that wasn't enough Mitch got himself in between Savannah and her dead sister Sahara. That was resolved in a big confrontation with Sahara and helping Savannah to remember her repressed memories of her sister's death. In the end the assassin tried to plant the bomb in Sav's office. Mitch managed to discover it on time and got Sav out, but when he tried to neutralize the threat the bomb went off burning him badly and almost completely destroying his hands. His hands were saved by a dying empath who healed Mitch as her last farewell. The only known side effect is that now Mitch glows green in the dark. The assassin committed suicide later and Mitch swore that he will make damn sure that such thing never happens again.

In Mitch's words "Pops is a wacky scientist. Worked for the military and made the gizmos that I use. Ma... she's an officer in the navy". His father Charles is a man usually locked in his lab and obsessed with work. He is now in his sixties and officially retired. Most of his life he was working for the military on different secret projects, from which mot noted was project Supernova that in the end cost him his job, which did not stop him from continuing working on it. His mother Mary is a navy officer. In Mitch's words they were strict but caring and Mary was not too strict after duty. His sister is eight years younger and going on MIT following her father's footsteps. Mitch calls her "little rascal" and he always had close and good relationship with her. They tease each other a lot and Mitch usually lets her do things her way. Fortunately Anna does not want to abuse that too often. Anna is both very different and very similar to Mitch in many ways. As Mitch she is laid back and enjoying life, and has similar sense of humor. On the other hand Anna is much more perky and hyperactive, she is also not very tall and of quite slim build. She can be blunt and she is not “old school” as Mitch but a weird mix of a scientist and a punk girl wearing a lab coat and having a multicolored hair and punky clothes. She can be protective of her brother. Anna at first got well with Savannah, only to almost attack her when Mitch was burned and now when she found out that she will be aunt she is just thrilled about her. Traditional Pulsar family food is a steak.

Not counting several short flings so far there were three women with who he had a steady relationships before his current one.
Jenny, his first was in Mitch's words "Real sweet girl, a girl next door she was. Well she was that in public, in private she turned into a harpy." Jenny was jealous and always finding faults in Mitch. She was always listing his faults even after having sex. He had his first time with her. Once she almost broke a vase on his head when she saw him hugging to her unknown girl, which was actually Mitch's sister. That lasted for six months and when Mitch saw that it is just going down he left her with simple sentence "Sorry Jen. I'm obviously not the man you want." Later Jen trashed him how he was impossible to live with.
His second was Samantha, an office girl in the military. She hated bugs and once they had sex on the disarmed aircraft bomb.
The third was Sidney, a southern belle as Mitch described her. Sidney was a daughter of colonel Ferro who supervised project Supernova and he wasn't too happy that his daughter is dating a pilot. He was responsible for Mitch leaving the service because he made a living hell from Mitch's life after his father was let go. When Mitch left the service and stand up to her father Sid dumped him.
Currently, Mitch is dating doctor Savannah Parker. In a long series of events he helped her confront her repressed memories and her dead sister Sahara. There were three events that led to him falling for her. "Club Mitch" night, when they had too much to drink and shared personal information, a camping trip they had after Savannah was shot when they had carefree fun and kissed, and final night when Savannah's memories were restored after which they made love. Mitch was at first reluctant to get involved with Savannah because of the job and because he felt that he is not in the same league as Savannah. Now, Savannah and Mitch are expecting a baby. The baby was conceived after first time they made love and although it happened because of the influence of Savannah's dead sister and one broken condom, the baby is very much wanted by Mitch although at first there was a fear that the baby is not his. Before he found out that it was he promised Sav that he will be with her and help her raise the child. Now he is sure that the baby will be a girl, and that her name will be Sahara because it will be Savannah's dead sister reborn. He is also sure that she will be very alike to his own sister Anna when she grows up. The baby just strengthened the bond with Savannah and Mitch is happily getting ready to become a father.

- He invented "Club Mitch", a night of drinking strong booze, eating junk food. Rule one is no any kind of phones, and rule two is when someone starts sharing personal information, the others are required to do that too. There was a mock variation on a theme with "Mountain Resort Mitch".
