Since childhood, Lenina has had a great interest for electricity. She enjoyed thunderstorms, and wasn't afraid to meet the lightning in open fields. When other girls played with dolls, she played with stun guns. During her teens she did accidentally electrocute a classmate, and was put in jail.

She used her time in jail well to build up her body. After a few years, her physical strength was superior to all other prisoners and guardians as well. Lenina did also develop a study technique during jail time that shielded her mind completely from the surrounding. This boosted her IQ and made nerve impulses called action potentials to grow stronger by a factor of ten. By a coincidence, she discovered her human electricity, but it took time before she found any practical usage of it.

Lenina started to study physics at the University after the prison time. By learning more about the nature of electromagnetism, she developed amazing control over her body electricity.

Lenina is of natural origin. No mutations or scientific experiments here. She has triple X chromosomes, which boost her height and physical strength.

Since childhood, Lenina has had a great interest for electricity. She enjoyed thunderstorms, and wasn't afraid to meet the lightning in open fields. When other girls played with dolls, she played with stun guns.

Lenina was a very promising student, and had always highest marks in math and physics. She was also great in gymnastics. But her intensive interest in electromagnetism had also a downside. During her teens, she expected her friends to be able to take electric shocks as good as she could. It was easy to tell which guys who had dated her - just look for burns. In her second year at high school, she did accidentally electrocute a classmate, and was put in jail.

Lenina is 198 cm tall and was despite her young age already stronger than an average adult male. She used her time in jail well to build up her body further. After a few years, her physical strength was superior to all other prisoners and guardians as well. The tough environment in the jail suited her fine because she's a natural born fighter. Nevertheless, she missed the studies badly. She came occasionally over papers with logical challenges. She knew that those moments were rare, so she had to utilize them as much as possible. She did it by developing a concentration technique that shielded her mind totally from the surrounding. After mastering it completely, she raised her IQ from 128 to 152.

Another prominent effect was how a form of nerve impulses called action potentials, grew stronger by a factor of ten. She builds up a notable magnetic field around her head that could move light pieces of metal. It took however years before she discovered the telekinetic effect.

She spent months of practicing moving and charging tiny metal objects with mind. One day, she got the idea of that human electricity might have some usage in fights. She captured an inmate for testing. The inmate was a skinny drug addict, only 150 cm tall. The little girl didn't dare to do any resistance against the much bigger and stronger Lenina. Lenina ordered her to stand still and close her eyes. She focused her mind in order to build up her action potentials, and punched the girl in the gut.

The test carried out well. The punch did knock the air out of the girl as expected. In addition to that, the girl's body quivered like if she was hit by a stun gun. The girl wet her pants and lay stunned on the floor for minutes. The room lighting was too bright for observing bolts, but Lenina was sure - this was not just a belly punch, it was a charged brawl!

Lenina started to study physics on the University after the prison time. By learning more about the nature of electromagnetism, she could develop amazing control over her body electricity. She befriended some microbiological students as well.

Lenina has researched about the string theory, m-branes in particular. She discovered an m-brane heading our way in the multiversum, and a collision could disrupt the entire solar system, and perhaps surrounding stars. After a controversial advice from Intussusceptor, she decided to keep the knowledge about the doomsday in a small circle. It was because the end of the world might trigger mass panic.

Various computer simulations where made, and 360 different scenarios was calculated. The rather high number was because there was four uncertain parameters that was independent of each other, and the input values was distributed in a way that every combination had quite equal probability. Given that, it was possible to calculate our chance of survival.

The scenarios where grouped by "big crunch", "hypernova", "supernova", "nova" and "endurable"

After the first complete run, our chance of survival ("endurable-A" or better) is 78 percent. If a nuclear war is equal to "extinction", humanity was at bigger stake during the Cuban missile crisis. We had to see things from the bright side, but it was difficult when there was a seven percent risk of "big crunch".

One month later, and with better measurments, we did the calculations again, with fine-tuned parameters. We hoped to rule out the probability of "big crunch". The truth was very inconvinient. Our chance of survival had dropped to a mere one-in-ten, and the most likely scenario was "supernova". There would be nowhere for us to run, as the planets would evapourate in a temperature of a billion degrees. A massive burst of gamma rays, gravity waves and hi-energetic particles would also pose a severe threat to possible civilisations on nearby stars like Alpha Centauri. An advanced civilisation could however limit the destruction if they had time to shield their planet.

The collision was estimated to occur in May 23rd, 2002. Lenina's boyfriend alerted the secret brotherhood that he came in touch with trough Rotary International. According to he, the information would take the straight-forward path to the elite with no leakage. If the brotherhood really work to preserve "the objective interest of the ancients" - which might be to preserve intelligent life, they would alert potential alien civilisations. We can however just guess what the brotherhood did with the information.

However, the branes did not collide. The gravity has however bound them, and the relative small distance has allowed the Rikti Invasion

[edit] University - disturbed studies

Her studies were intercepted by a tragedy. Twelve students and four professors where killed by a neo-Maoist group. Five of them worked on a cure for a lethal strain of the wijnja virus, and it was clearly no coincidence that they were killed. Lenina attempted to warn the authorities, but was dismissed as exploiting the tragedy to spread anti-communist conspiracy theories.

Her boyfriend Intussusceptor had connections with the military, and alerted them about the virus threat. But it was too late. The news reported about how a middle-aged man pooped out his large intestine on a public toilet and had boils on his face, a clearly sign of wijnja infection. Eight other cases of a mysterious illness where also reported.

She went berserk now, when she realized that the outbreak could have been prevented if people took her warnings. Her wrath built up a neural charge much stronger than anything she had made before. The bolts could be seen in daylight, and nearby computers crashed. Suddenly, her power field discharged, causing an electromagnetic pulse. The University was located uphill, so vast areas of the city were in line of sight. 3000 homes got blacked out, and malfunctioning equipment where reported from all around the city.

Lenina was extremely tired after her discharge, and had to rest for hours. She did however escape the city before the authorities imposed quarantine measures

Lenina supported Crey Industries in a vaccin for the wijnja virus. When it was just a matter of time how long the authorties could contain the outbreak in a city, the research was rushed. An experimental vaccin was developed from anti-bodies from survivors of the disease. However, the first tests went horrible wrong.

Healthy volunteers were recruited to the study with a €5,000 fee, reportedly much higher than the 'few hundred quid' offered for other medical tests in the region. The trial resulted in hospitalization of all eleven volunteers administered the vaccin, at least five of whom suffered multiple organ dysfunction caused by a cytokine storm.

Lawsuits and scandals would have a severe impact on the development, and according to recent estimates; the virus could kill as many as six millions in Europe alone. A huge part of those who survive do develop severe mental disorders, building ground for genocidal populist ideologies. Lenina spread a rumour of suspected cases in Stockholm, thus invoking panic that greatly overwhelmed the trial scandal. The rumour worked this time.

The Crey did however need to test more than one houndred to have any chance to create a working vaccin in time. Pessiments suggested that the real number might exceed one thousand. More severe illness and possible death has to be expected in the comming trials. We could not rely on rumours to work again. The option was to kidnap people and use them as guinea pigs. Used test subjects was dumped in the Baltic Sea.

Dumping waste in the Baltic Sea is of course illegal, but a hole in the Swedish law makes it very easy to get away with it. While the Swedish airforce to occationally spot rouge seacrafts dumping waste in the sensitive ecosystem, they are not allowed to help the police bringing the offenders to justice. While at least one of the dumping raids was discovered by a Swedish JAS plan, they had no authority to take actions.

After around 500 wasted test subjects and a minimal progress, we needed a completely new idea. There was one, what if we use anti-bodies from survivors from the hemmorhagic form of the disease (CWHF) instead. If a body is so totally pwnd by the virus as in those cases, only the patients with a perfect balanced immune response might have a chance of survival. Recovery from CWHF is rare but there's at least a few known cases. Sonja Johnson is one of them, and she did voluntary leave a blood sample with antibodies.

The next trial group using an experimental vaccin based on Johnson's antibodies did not develop cytokine storms. While this vaccin still have minor flaws (like a slightly increased chance of autism if given to pregnants, and a minor chance of pollen allergy), it was ready for the market.

Lenina was a vaccination worker, and helped to inocculate the population in London and Stockholm against the wijnja virus.

[edit] Bloom in the Baltic Sea

The first spring after the dumping in the Baltic Sea was warmer than average. This raised the concern of a devastating phytoplankton bloom. The massive amount of dumped bodies might contribute to the bloom, making it the worst ever.

Unfortunately, the concerns where right. Thousands of bathers experienced phytoplankton gastroenteritis syndrom and the sea had a dirty toxic look for months. The gastroenteritis could be life-threatening to underweight and elderly people. "people are shitting out their intestines, it might be the Winja Carolina virus, I fear that the epidemic is back", a healtcare worker in one of the worst affected cities said. The economics in Stockholm and Helsinki was troubled. Once the blooms finally disappeared, biologists witnessed how the killer bloom delivered a finishing blow to endangered species.

Destiny holds a terrible future for Lenina, with consequences beyond imagination. Time travelers reports deserted land and a bloody red sky, a very extensive global dimming. According to recent findings, the destruction is not due to political decisions, repression, wars, pollution, global warming etc, but a division by zero that cause the laws of reality to break down!

• Lenina let David Miscarriage alter the mind of a test subject that makes him autistic. Unfortunately, the form of autism makes the test subject capable of dividing by zero, which is disastrous.

• Lenina gain lots of political powers, and make decisions that brings global dimming.

• Intussusceptor eradicate socialism and drug trafficking in Latin America and enact lazies-faire capitalism. The new liberated states joins NATO. Russia and China (with support from Cuba, Zimbabwe, North Korea and the Socialist Peoples Republic of Myanmar) declare war on the new free nations. As a president of the United States, Lenina retaliate the attack on the allies, and the conflict escalates into a nuclear war.

Lenina is a powerful brawler, and her swift punches and kicks can crack bones and disrupt internal organs. She tips her attack with electricity by her magnetic manipulation, which increase the crippling effects of her blows further.

A few of her attacks are entirely electromagnetic, for instance the Jacobs Ladder. The really odd one is the Lightning Rod, where she divide by zero to distort the laws of space, which cause her to disappear and reappear from nowhere. The division by zero raises the vacuum energy state, and when it is neutralized, the energy is released as a massive explosion.

As a result of countless years of hard training, her body endure extreme amounts of punishment. It literally takes an abortion punch by Back Alley Brawler himself to knock the wind out of her. Her electric manipulations do also create an energy aura, that absorb elemental damage.

She can suck energy from nearby enemies, which leave them exhausted while she get a well-needed energy restoration.

[edit] Difficulties with interstellar travel

Crossing the vast emptiness of the interstellar space in a reasonable time require speeds that approach the speed of light. The amount of energy required to accelerate matter to near-light speed in immense and even if the ignore relativistic effects, the energy is equal to an anti-matter bomb that the same mass. With relativistic effects, 79 percent of light speed is enough to reach the energy-mass equal, and 100 percent of light speed would require an infinite amount of energy.

A single gram requires 9.0*10¹³ Joule to be accelerated to 79 percent of light speed, equal to the yield of the atomic bomb detonated over Nagasaki. The momentum is proportional to the speed squared, and is roughly 300 million times more than an asteroid of the same mass. If Rikti have the energy resources to accelerate a body that are a mere 15 meters wide to near-light speed, it will have the same energy as a 10 km large asteroid. An impacting asteroid that large will destroy life on earth.

So if the Rikti really have those resources, they just need to accelerate a small rock in our direction to wipe us out and don’t bother with an invasion. It’s therefore very unlikely that they have travelled trough interstellar space to invade us. Since the rest of the solar system doesn’t have any planets that are capable of hosting life, the remaining possibility is a shortcut trough the bulk space, aka a wormhole. The distance trough the bulk space must not be too long, or else they face the same difficulties as with interstellar travel.
