How far have I fallen? How far left to go? How long till I get there?

My real name is Silvia but I go by Kinases. And I have fallen a long way in a short time....

[edit] Hell on Earth

King's Row, Late September, early October, some random alley

The trio of Hellions fled for their lives, crashing through the trash cans as they ran from the fiery terrors which followed them. The little fire monsters scorched across the metal and concrete surfaces and picked off two of the gang while the third was chased by their leather-clad leader; a redhead with a red tail. After a few more trashcans and and fences later and he was caught, thrown against the wall and being choked. While the Damned tried to scream the energy of his body was literally leeched out of him. A few seconds later he collapsed top the floor, clutching his chest, drifting into unconciousness.

The redhead stood there, revived by the Hellion's energy, and dispersed the imps that followed her. She wandered through the alleys of King's Row until she fell to her knees, crying into her hands. What had become of her, stealing the life energy of people, picking off easy targets... how low could she get or how easy would it be to make it go away?

She had drifted into a semi-concious state when a Circle Guardian moved towards her. In a flash she jumped up, ready to send him to the next world except... he was offering his hand? What was he up to? The Circle never offer a hand when they can simply take it but for now, she would spare him a sudden death. He pulled a card from beneath his cloak which she took from him. She looked at it and it seemed to show a cave, not far from where she was standing. As she looked up to ask him a question, he had gone.

The night got the better of her and she found herself at the door to the cave. One swift jab cracked the wood and released the door allowing her entry. She stepped inside and followed the tunnel, deep down into the depths of the Circle's network. At the point of entry, the door repaired itself as if nothing happened.

After wandering through the tunnels following directions that kept appearing on the card, she found herself in a small chamber where a Circle Mage was waiting.

"Welcome, Silvia. I know why you're here." She looked at him from behind her shades with a viscious stare, sceptical of every word he spoke. "You long for your suffering to end. You want to find an inner peace... follow me." He stepped into an adjacent chamber and Silvia followed. Inside was a 6 foot tall, very black oval which turned translucent as the mage touched it.

"What is that?" Silvia asked, not really concerned but morbid curiosity compelled her to. The Mage looked at her and smiled and as he dipped a finger into the oval she saw an image of her, essentially, deceased brother.

"You place yourself into the black oval and everything you've dreamed of for your life will be true." Silvia looked in disbelief and thought for a moment... a life with all her family... "If you need some more time to thi..." His speech was cut short as Silvia stepped up to the oval.

"How does it work?" The Mage, slightly stunned from the willingness of this 'volunteer' gleered at her. Another body for the Circle and a powerful one too. He gestured to Silvia to put her hands into the oval and step into it which she did. The oval turned opaque as Silvia fully entered it, cutting all sound from her and restricting her breathing. Her skin went ice cold and she took a deep breath as the oval shut out all light from getting to her eyes...

Le Sisarose. A fortress of glass, stone and brickwork, standing proud in the light morning skies. Home to the Rogue Islands' most respected heroes; Kinasis and Tyger.

Silvia's Room, 2:16 am Silvia woke with a start, breathing heavily. What nightmare was that? Orphaned as a baby, growing up in foster care under the watchful eyes of the Vindicators, losing her brother to hell, ending up collapsed in an alleyway, becoming a sacrifice...

... no more cheese before bedtime. Father was right about that. She lay her head back and drifted off.
