A virbrant, warm-hearted, somewhat emotional. Her warmth radiates out when she's happy and even more when she's angry.

Unlike some of her fellow firekin who have a reputation around Peregrine she strives to be different whilst prefecting the use of her abilities.

Originally - trying to find out her heritage whilst kicking ass and looking fit.

Now - eating, sleeping, fighting, sex, love... not always all at once.

Silvia inherited the energy manipulation potential of her mother whilst some of the controlling abilities of her father. Her powers manifest as fire as she excites the kinetic potential at will.

Unlike her twin brother, she inherited and developed the power of flight. Her powers also emerged at a slightly faster rate than her sibling, a fact of which she continually teased him about before his disappearance.

Despite being able to fly naturally she can also siphon the kinetic potential of a target to increase her own running speed and alter her own inertia to allow her to leap incredible distances. When combined she can often leap tall buildings in one bound.

She can also leech energy directly from a body by converting it to forms of radiation which can be naturally absorbed by anyone in close proximity to her targets. Often appears in waves of green (healing) and blue (endurance).

In a further extension of her powers she can manipulate her own kinetic potential to increase her metabolism for brief periods. This allows her to use her abilities at a much faster rate.

Silvia Barzini was born to Alicia Barzini along with her twin, Antonio. They were both abducted by their family doctor, Dr Trueman, who turned up dead a few months later; possibly killed by the people he worked for, a division of Malta.

Not long after they were abducted they were accidentally rescued when a superteam raided the base they had been kept in. They were recovered and fostered by a orphanage with close ties to the Vindicators. At age 6 their powers manifested when Silvia in a fit of anger kicked a wooden step and set it alight; her hand was literally on fire. Her training began.

Several years, dozens of targets and many fire extinguishers later, Kinases emerged on the hero scene along with her brother, Kinason. Wearing co-ordinated, similar outfits the two blazed a trail through the populated areas of Paragon City, taking on wave after wave of enemies. They were unstoppable. In her heart, she still longed to know more of her past, her parents, her heritage....

One day Silvia was waiting for her brother to return home but he didn't. Not wanting to worry and since the Rikti were bombarding the city, she distracted herself repelling the invaders. Days passed and her brother became conspicuous in his absense. After consulting with a mystic at M.A.G.I. she found he had been trapped in hell, uanble to be rescued, his soul bound for eternity to suffer the torment of demons' wrath. In a double whammy she also learned her few close friends had been killed during a Rikti bombardment. Save for her unofficial mentor, she was alone. Little did she realise how close she was to finding a piece of her past in her mentor, Tyger.

After several weeks of self-destructive behaviour she was approached by an eventually trapped by a Circle Mage who offered her a chance at the perfect life she always wanted. Past caring about Herself she accepted knowing that they would kill her. Before they could, she vanished from their imprisonment.

At the same time, Kinases, sporting a new (and clean) outfit, stepped out of the portal to Recluse's Victory, baffling the techs who had not recorded her entering, she simply strode out with a strange newfound confidence, her depression a distant memory. Although she won't speak of what happened, she is about 8 years older than her birthday would indicate. She seems to be more confident than arrogant and a bit more open to others. She has been seen around some of the more nerdish types at Paragon U when she used to avoid them.

Silvia seems to have accepted her brother's circumstance and is living her life again. She is currently dating Max Jackster (much to the envy of his classmates as Paragon U).

• Kinases was originally intended to be from another dimension, the last survivor of Tyger's version of Ghostworld. After consulting with the owner of her parent, Pious she became a long-lost child and a day later the long-lost twin child she is now after he created her brother, Kinason
