Jonin Ooi is unemotional most of the time, but when he is provoked, his wrath cannot be contained and he will send his full fury against those that threaten him. He learns and analyses his opponent and plans accordingly. He does not think in terms of "good" and "evil", he thinks in terms of "allies" and "enemies", he aids his allies and hunts his enemies down without mercy.
He caters his "torture music" interogation sessions to his victims hates to make them talk.

[edit] The Begining
Before he gained his power, he had just left university and then decided to emigrate to the US, specifically to Paragon City as they had some openings in a few key areas, he eventually gained a position as a network technician after he disturbed his employers and collegues with his ideas on how to improve performance, they feared his mind and rejected his proposals without even looking at the documentation, this made him bitter, he was better of looking for work in England, at least he wouldn't be somewhere where his mind would be discarded like a defective laptop. Then he bought an interesting crystal carving with japanese characters, he translated the characters and found it was an incantation of some kind and instructions of when to say it.
At the time of the new moon, he shouted the incantation while bloodletting on the carving, when he finished, a black energy cam out of the carving and entered him, he started to remember what he was.
[edit] Feudal Japan - The Last Stand of the Order of the Dark Sun
He was in Black Armour, ordering his warriors to fight for him and to die fighting rather than let themselves be killed slowly or put on display as prisoners, it started well, with his Oni warriors and his ninjas bringing painful death to the enemy, when a warrior fought them off quickly, driving his allies to fight harder, eventually they got to the inner sanctum where they found that the leader of the order of the dark sun and his personal guard have committed seppuku which unknown to them, their blood was pouring into a crystal carving that was hidden from their senses.
[edit] Capture and Service to Arachnos
He regained his senses and realised he was wearing the same black armour as his previous incarnation was, he realises that he was once the leader of the Order of the Dark Sun, the clans feared his orders use of dark magic, so they sent an army to destroy his order, he then realised that the crystal carving was a means for the Order of the Dark Sun to be revived at some point in the future. He tried summoning his personal guard, but was only able to bring one of his genin, a basic warrior, it was a start and he tested his dark power on a mugger, the mugger shot him, but he drained his attacker and then he ran in fear as the bullet would and the armour hole regenerated itself, then longbow came and was able to quickly subdue him as he was still weak from his transformation.
He was thrown in the Zig without trial, he was burning with rage from the hypocracy of longbow, it feared what it wasn't able to control, so it detained "threats" like him without trial and threw away the key, then the power suppression field device deactivated and the doors were opened, Arachnos had picked that time to stage a break-in of the Zig, after rescuing the pilot and helping him set a bomb, he ended up on Mercy Island in the Rogue Isles, he deicided to see what benefits Arachnos would provide him. He would rebuild his order and punish the "spandex" and those in Paragon City who gave him little or nothing in return for his efforts.
[edit] The Ghost Widow
After spending some time in the service of Arachnos, he had regained his full power, all of his personal guard could be summoned, his Oni bodyguard, Kenta Kasaikaze is restored and his dark power has become capable of summoning a creature of darkness to aid him. Then he journeyed to Grandville, the centre of Arachnos power and then talked with Arbiter Rein, he gives him a selection of the four patrons of Arachnos, he chooses the Ghost Widow, who can teach him how to further utilise his dark power.

After a payment is denied for services rendered, he decides to take an time perception accelerating item from the carnival of shadows, which he uses to aid in his heist of a nearby bank, he then learns from Arbiter Daos via his computer in Bachiatarikaze Fortress that Black Scorpion was responsible for this, so he searches for a time perception slowing item in the possession of longbow, he orders Kenta Kasaikaze to roast them alive and he takes it and he also finds a book with "Malleus Tempus" written on it, then lures Black Scorpion into a trap and then uses the item to defeat him. He then had a strange encounter with "himself"
He then returns to Bachiatariakaze Fortress with the Malleus Tempus and reads an incantation in its pages and then is able to travel through time and space with limited control, first from Bachiatarikaze Fortress in the present to Sirens call in the 1920's and then back to the present in the same part of space. After an interogation of Malta Op commander Lemming Blood 4-7, he told Captain Mako where to find his "dinner", then Jonin Ooi was sent to Paragon City during the first Rikti invasion and then in the presence of Lord Recluse himself, where Jonin Ooi was told that he was dealing with magic that even Lord Recluse considered too dangerous and that if he didn't correct it, he would create a temporal explosion that would open a way to the Rikti Homeworld, he was ordered to Arbiter Daos then he displaced to meet his past self and then back to Arbiter Daos, a few second after he left and he found out that he had to gather both time altering items and use the reversal incantation to prevent his explosion, he gathered the required items, but then displaced to the near future where the explosion allowed the rikti to enter this earth, then he displaced back to the present and in front of Scirocco, he told him to go back to where he did the original ritual, he then teleports to an workbench in Backiatarikaze fortress and performs the reversal ritual, which sends him back to before he did the ritual, he gave the Malleus Tempus to Arbiter Daos to put in the secure vaults and then went to take the time altering items for his own use.

Jonin Ooi has been made a Marshall of Arachnos for his service.

He consults the Bachiatarikaze and other sources to determine threats both to him and Arachnos.

Jonin Ooi's abilities came from a crystal carving from which he gained his powers (and memories of one of his previous incarnations) after saying an specific incantation.
