Glory was originally created as a teaming character in the EU beta. I developed a concept of the twin goddess/life and death style of thing for her, she's the little healer with her boots dipped in blood. When CoH went live, I created her again, but I don't do much teaming and so she has never got very far on the level stakes. Nice character to roleplay though, very rarely any angst.
She is named for a villain from Buffy the vampire Slayer who was a goddess come to Earth in human form.
She really came into full form when the Veteran Rewards were launched and I got access to wings. I have to say that the shading on the wings looks perfect on her.

In some ways, Glory is an ancient goddess with access to vast amounts of knowledge, in others she is a 3-4 year old. She tends to be amazingly insightful at times, and without a clue the next. She has almost no conception of shame or embarrassment, and the only thing that annoys her is people with negative emotions. She also hates the sight of blood.

Primarily, Glory is a healer, a bringer of life. Ultimately, she is a bringer of life, and death and destruction. One of her main driving forces is the desire to see the light side of her personality and nature win out over the darker side.

At the beginning of 2005, a young woman in a white dress materialised in a yard behind a shop in Galaxy City. She spoke perfect English, as well as any other language she was presented with and seemed keen to help people so she was passed to MAGI for a bit of training and then sent out to do good in the world. They called her Glory, because it seemed like a good name.
Oddly, the more she fought criminals with her dark blasts, the more her boots developed a red tint. It was though the blood she stepped in and times had soaked into her costume and would not come out. When she woke up with a glorious set of white wings one day, they too had red feathers in them.
These days, she mostly works at the MAGI labs providing an ever renewable source of Netherworld energy on command. When she does get out, she can often be seen with wires hanging out of her bodice where someone has left a sensor of some kind stuck to her.
[edit] Additional Background
Glory believes that she was once a goddess and has somehow been 'cast down' into something like a human form. Whatever the truth of that, tests at MAGI have confirmed that she is not exactly 'real,' more a solid form composed of energy. She has no vital organs. Her speech is an illusion, people hear her speak, but it actually goes straight into their heads. After all, she has no lungs or larynx to back up speaking normally.
MAGI have been unable to work out where the energy came from, but it seems to be extra-dimensional, as in it came from between the dimensions we commonly think of with regards to our own and the multiples reachable though Portal Corps. Some of the MAGI scientists and magical theorists have come to believe that Glory actually is a manifestation of the energy released by the death of some other-world goddess.
