Gargoyles were placed on ancient buildings to protect them from evil. Flechte was one such gargoyle, placed on a rooftop, gazing out over the city for endless years.

One day her building was destroyed, but she somehow survived. She decided that she had grown attached to the city, having stared at its rooftops for so long, so now she has become the city's latest guardian.
