Lower-tier member of the New Heroes Union. Previously a freelance trader in mystical artifacts.

In short, he's a selfish extroverted hedonist.

Before becoming a hero, David was driven to becoming rich, famous and fit. Using modern business skills to acquire mystical artifacts that increase your own abilities seemed a good way of doing this.

After acquiring Basiator, an enchanted Rapier, he was forced down a different path. Once drawn, the sword telepathically linked with David, and then threatened to injure him until he gave up his wealth and fight the good fight for justice and truth and other things he doesn't really care about.

But David is currently resigned to this, because now at least he's getting famous, and its nice to be appreciated for actually doing something sometimes.

Basiator's control is weakened by a clouded mind, so Fiore likes to keep himself drunk when he doesn't want to be on duty to prevent the sword nagging him too much.

Without Basiator, he is relatively helpless and incompetent in a combat situation.

Even with Basiator and his other artifacts, he is vulnerable to damage when caught off-guard.

Basiator the enchanted rapier. A grouchy and single-minded weapon designed to turn ordinary people into heroes, whether they want to or not. It cannot move on its own, but it can force its wielder to move however it wants and can talk to them telepathically.

His main gauche has been enchanted by MAGI mystics to ward him from harm.

A pair of "seven-league" boots, enabling him to leap great distances.

A pendant said to attract the sexual attention of men, of dubious effectiveness.
