Dr Roberts is the Director of The Dunelm Group. He overseas all of the groups actions and is responsible for supplying the group with the technology to perform their work as well as performing the all groups PR.

Dr Roberts is a very caring individual. He has always looked to use his talents to help mankind with simple inventions making chores a little easier, to allowing people to get around towns and cities with bridges he has designed, to the extreme of running a group of Super Heroes to defend the world from threats looking to destroy it.

Dr Roberts is motivated to do what he can to ensure the safety of the world. He see the world as a beautiful place but know how fragile it is and is determined to help protect it and leave a legacy for others to follow on.

At a young age, Brian Roberts was fascinated by technology and how it was used to the benefit of human life. Growing up within a family of academics for a number of subjects, Brian was privileged to go to the best private schools around to hone on his growing intelligence and interest in technology.

With the world around him still recovering from the Second World War, the young Brian Roberts promised himself to build technology to help mankind rather than make anything like the A-Bomb that was used in the war between the US and Japan.

Brian would eventually be accepted as an undergraduate student in Durham University. While he came from Cambridge and would have easily got into Cambridge University, he felt he needed to study in a different environment. Brian fell in love with Durham City and decided to stay on at Durham University in order to achieve a PhD in Engineering.

Upon completing his PhD and gaining his Doctorate, Brain went on to marry Margret Cook who he met as a fellow Durham University student and dated during the years they both spent gaining their PhD’s. Dr Roberts spent the next few years at Durham University as a research fellow with his Professor that help him get his PhD. Using his knowledge that he would continually update, he began to develop new technology ideas into simple inventions for the household that ended up being best sellers.

With Dr Roberts genius now beginning to have some notoriety, he was soon getting offers from around the world to help out with the designs of buildings, bridges and other specialist technologies that would benefit mankind. These ventures allowed Dr Roberts to see the rest of the world with his own eyes and meet new and wonderful people. His engineering also made him extremely wealthy.

But Dr Roberts and his wife Margret would not rest on their laurels and wealth. Dr Roberts continued to help design and create technology and engineering to benefit human life, while also appearing as a guest lecturer in many Universities in the hope to pass on his knowledge and experience to a new generation of students. Margret meanwhile became more active in charity work and as an active campaigner in matters ether medical or political in order to help make the world a better place.

Tragedy stuck the couple however when Margret was diagnosed with cancer. She had suffered cancer years before but the tumour was removed and thought to be safe. The operation however meant that she would not be able to bare children. Unfortunately for Margret the cancer would end up returning later and this time it was terminal. She carried on with her charity work as much as she could until finally succumbing to the disease before she could see the start of the new millennium in November 1999.

Dr Roberts took some time off to morn his loss. He traveled the world for a while, not as the brilliant engineer and technologist, but as a simple tourist. He reminded himself of why he and his late wife did what they did. To try and help make the world a great place to live in. On returning home Dr Roberts decided to not to accept any new contracts for design works and instead took up a position as a part time lecture at Durham University so that he could pass on many torches to new potential engineers and technologists.

He also successfully became a part of Durham County Council to try and give back what the county and the city was able to give to him. He also felt that he needed his spot on the council to help carry on the work his wife spent so much time on.

This carried on until the summer of 2005.

After the Cyberman invasion that gripped the world, Dr Roberts felt that drastic action needed to be taken to ensure the safety of Durham City and the rest of the world from potential threats. Durham managed to survive unscathed from the invasion, but next time it might not be as lucky unless a new defense force was put in place.

With that in mind, Dr Roberts began his plan to create The Dunelm Group. A team of Super Heroes that would be ready to defend the world when called upon.

Since it’s initial inception in Durham City, Dr Roberts has moved the team to Paragon City in the US primarily to offer additional support to Vanguard and other organizations caught up in the Second Rikti Invasion.

In between running The Dunelm Group, Dr Roberts still makes time to work as a guest lecturer at Paragon University, still keen to pass on his knowledge to new students looking to peruse a career in technology and engineering.
