Character concept - I wanted to make a character who had been a martial arts hero at one point and was naturally very resilient. In the end I decided to make a guy who used pool powers to achieve something unique.

Devante Davidson was born in Brenham, Texas. His parents mvoed to Chicago after his father recieved an auspicious job offer. Devante made some friends though he wasn't considered popular until he started practising martial arts. Excelled in most, he began entering tournaments at age 12 when he won his first. The first of many.

For years Devante was the talk of his suburb; the kickboxing champion (despite never having entered a Thai Kick-boxing tournament) up until the age of 19 when his life was changed forever after meeting Brian Toska, his new personal trainer. The two grew very close and began dating. This led to a passionate encounter at one of his tournaments where they were interrupted by another contender. After the news spread, Devante was disqualified; all of his opponents refused to fight and those that did made complaints against him, citing sexual harassment. His trainer Brian was arrested and Devante returned home.
