Damsel-fly is unknown to have any affiliations beyond those that he obtained when part of the gestalt entity known as Damselfly, since his seperation and wounding during the recent rikti invasions he is not known to be an active member of any affiliate organisation.

A scientist by training, Damsel keeps himself distant and objective from most people, more so since his release from the gestalt. Despite this he is driven by a sense of fairplay and strives to remain helpful to the hero community. Like many scientists he has a large reckless streak that when combined with his own ego can get him into trouble.

Since seperation from the gestalt, Damsel is striving to remain active as a here. The recent Rikti invasions saw him foolishly at the forefront of the troubles despite his reduced capabilities. As a result he was wounded greatly and only able to survive by joining with a kheldian energy being.
