[edit] Affiliations
[edit] Allies
Sister of Crazy Dragon, Daughter of StreetLight.
Gemma was in a relationship with Melphon, but after the minor crisis she had when he cheated on and dumped her, they are now "just friends". Gemma has made it clear that she won't take him back as anything more than that again.
[edit] Personality
Often cheerful, easily frustrated. Somewhat open about a few things, but still keeps a few things to herself, like her crush on DJ Zero.
[edit] Motivation
"I've lost count of the times those frigging Hellions have tried to mug me every single time I tried to get a coffee. So I thought to myself "Why not do something about it?" Since I already was, it made sense to apply for that license."
[edit] Powers
[edit] Martial Arts
After thwarting an attack by masked thugs in Blackpool, Gemma gradually taught herself to fight.
[edit] Willpower
Gemma is often seen listening to her MP3 player outdoors. Music is such a large part of her life that she even has a playlist of "fight music" which she switches to before a fight. The music helps her ignore the pain.
[edit] Additional Powers
[edit] Flight
Gemma, being part-Barien, can fly.
[edit] Power Pool
[edit] Abilities
[edit] Vulnerabilities
For the most part, she is still mostly Human, and can only take so much of a beating.
[edit] Equipment
Just her MP3 player, loaded with all sorts of dance music, and her high heels serve to cause more damage with every kick.
[edit] Character History
[edit] The budding musician
Gemma loved music and still does to this day. During her school years she learned to play several of the instruments available to her, and all with an insane level of skill. Eventually she turned to computer-created music after she witnessed a Commodore Amiga in action, churning out several .MOD files with her own Amiga 500 within the space of a month, all of which gained praise from her friends as well as those at her school that barely even knew her.
When Gemma left school, she still continued to push out .MODs using her Amiga, while also working on a demo disc in the hopes of pursuing a professional career. Eventually, she found herself signed to the TrickShot label for several years up until sometime around 2007. We'll get back to that later.
[edit] Debut
Under TrickShot, Gemma completed her debut album in 2005 under the pseudonym Suzi Beat. "It's A Start" did reasonably well, peaking at number 16 in the UK charts. As the album continued to sell, Gemma also got her first stabs at DJing, with sets at various venues in the UK, Durham included. And she enjoyed it.
[edit] First to fight
One such gig took her to Blackpool. Shortly after finishing the set and leaving with a friend, they found them selves staring down the barrel of a loaded gun. Make that two, both in the hands of muggers. The situation got to a point where her friend a shot in the shoulder, something that enraged Gemma enough to - without even thinking - plant her high heel into the face of one of the muggers. The stunned mugger fell back onto his accomplice, giving Gemma an oppurtunity to strike again. Not that she was even thinking very hard about that.
While the muggers laid in agony from the beating Gemma gave them, she picked her friend up and had her rushed to the nearest hospital.

[edit] Trivia
- Likes dance music. A lot. Spefically Trance and Hard House, but she's also proven to be a bit of a fan of Basshunter.
- So much so that she'll choose "Boten Anna" over "Now You're Gone".
- Owns her own keytar.
- Has a crush on DJ Zero. However this isn't public knowledge and she gets somewhat tetchy when anyone suggests it.
- Once tried to cover Rise Against's "Prayer for the Refugee" at the request of her old manager back in the UK. Quite a few liked the result, but Gemma, being something of a perfectionist, thought otherwise. The track has not been released legally since.
