Most of Chapel's past is shrouded in mystery.

Chapel was created as my 'badass' villain, he sees himself as a visionary, and wields the power of God, corrupted by his earthly experiences and nature. He is the embodiment of the darkness that exists within everyone.

No current affiliations, ex member of the catholic church and later, member of the scorpio syndicate, a shady mercenary corporation, known for working in the shadows, also for being ruthlessly efficient.

Chapel is somewhat of an ambiguous individual, seeming to exhibit symptoms of madness and genius. He is a self-proclaimed visionary and leader, attempting to stir the masses into revolt.

Chapel seeks to cast down the society, that he sees as being corrupt and unjust, and create his own 'Heaven on Earth'

Chapel has power over the dead, and relies primarily upon his 'congregation'. The souls of the original Hellion gang which he killed. Bent entirely to his will, he has the power to keep them on this plane until they have served his purposes. He also has corrupted powers over the dark energy that permeates everything, the darkness that dwells inside each and every person.

Chapel is an expert marksman, and was such even before he was granted his powers. He also possesses powers of persuasion, and the ability to stir up thoughts and beliefs in people. He also has some linguistic skill, learnt from his days working for The Chalice. His strange nature also grants him resistance to magical and psychic attacks.

Being neither dead nor alive, Chapel is difficult to kill. but he is not entirely unstoppable.

Chapel Carries a pair of Silver pistols formed from 'The Leveller', A holy blade gifted from God, these pistols are effective against angels, demons and mortals and even have been known to have destroyed immortal beings. Combined with his marksmanship, his bullets always find their mark. His henchmen also carry various weaponry and equipment with them.

Born in London, England, Chapel was orphaned after a car crash killed both his parents. Raised by the church, he eventually became minister for his area, later rising to become a Bishop for the city diocese. The church later noticed his ability to persuade and motivate, along with his zeal, and he was headhunted for 'The Chalice' a pious organisation within the church that carried out the at the behest of the college of cardinals and the Pope himself.

And then everything changed. Sent abroad to investigate claims of demonic rituals practised by a relatively new street gang in Paragon City, who called themselves Hellions. Little did chapel know, the Chalice agent in Paragon was corrupt. Swayed by promises of money and power, he set Chapel up.

Breaking into the hellions' main hideout, Chapel walked right into the trap. Outnumbered, he fought as hard as he could, but his clips soon ran empty, and he was overwhelmed, and killed by the gang. Yet that was not the end for him, God struck a deal with him, allowing him to return to life as an angent of heaven, tasked with returning errant souls to Heaven, or to Hell he would be like an angel of death.

Chapel accepted, but soon was consumed by the hate he felt when he died. His powers were corrupted, turning dark and horrifying. He took his sword of office, and used his new-found powers to craft it into a pair of revolvers, with 'Justicia' (Justice) and 'Misericordia'(Mercy) inscribed upon them.

He fled God's kingdom, returning to existrence where he had left it. Turning his new pistols on the terrified hellion gang which had killed him, every shot he fired found it's mark. The fate he had in store for the gang was crueler than death, he kept their souls, and bound them to serve him for an eternity.

And he vanished into the night, taking his all-consuming hate with him. He must break apart the corrupt world which killed him, and create his own heaven on earth. He was justice, he was mercy, he was death, borne upon dark wings.

A figure is recently being noticed throughout the Rogue Isles, calling itself 'Chapel'. He stirs the dregs of humanity into revolt, with promises of a new order, a Heaven on Earth, and equality and freedom for those strong and resourceful enough to take it.
