Emma loves life. She's extremely friendly, loves talking to people and can see the fun side of everything. She makes too many jokes about too many things she shouldn't and at times wishes she had a time machine to go back and not say certain things, but she hasn't and has to accept she has a bit of a motor-mouth.

Emma can somehow control her body temperature and affect the air around her, using this power to launch fire blasts towards her enemies.

Using the same skills, Emma can alter the temperature around her, slowing down enemies and encasing them in ice.

Emma is still a human, but using her body temperature can survive in extreme weather. Changing her temperature to extremely high temperatures can melt and stop certain munitions, but she can only survive for so long.

From a very early age, everyone knew Emma was different. She was always cold in hot weather, or boiling hot in the middle of winter. It wasn't until she was 10 that her parents finally took her to see a specialist, who discovered she was a mutant. Even through various tests and exams spanning the next few years of her life, no-one has yet discovered why Emma can alter her body temperature and the very air around her. It was this search for answers that led her to Paragon.

Emma has lived in Paragon now for a few months, finding a nice apartment in Atlas that she is settling into finally. She got herself a costume and signed up to be a hero, hoping she can eventually find someone who can give her a better explanation than having a "human thermostat" to explain her powers.

After her first few nights at going to Galaxy Girl, directed there by some hero friends of hers, she quickly got around to making some friends. She met Psysan and Molly.EXE on her first few visits, quickly finding herself attracted to Molly, something she was initially unsure of. However, since then, the pair have become almost inseparable, allowing Emma to finally be completely happy with her sexuality.
Emma and Molly attracted the attention of Kelly, also known as Scarlet Starlet, because they reminded her so much of her and Viessa's relationship. This has since blossomed into friendship and Emma was recruited into The Fletched Alliance as Vie's apprentice.
