Bat-Hawk was created by Gorbaz to start the formation of the Last Word supergroup and rock band. Originally very enthusiastic about partaking in heroics, she has calmed somewhat and re-set her priorities to focus more on her Paragon University education whilst still being able to play with the rest of the band.

Well-spoken and nearly always friendly, Alice is an easy-going girl, but is very strict with herself when it comes to age-related laws, and tries her best not to abuse her status as well-known rocker.

Alice sees the troubled Paragon City as a place that needs a firm application of law enforcement in order to keep all the local gangs in line, and, as a metahuman, sees herself perfectly placed to assist. So long as it doesn't interfere with the band or her University work

After the chaos that was the mass Rikti Invasion had boiled down to a few raids every so often, Alice tried to loose herself in her books again, even taking on a second course so as to put the events as far from her mind as possable. Still, when Dee Dee Diablo put out a message for a general meeting in Pocket D, she attended. It was there that she bumped into Militia operative Scorche, who invited The Last Word to play at a beach party that was being organised to celebrate the end of Sumer, and the declining Rikti raids. Lady Cacophony was easilly convinced to go, having commented that "If there's beer, I'm there", but Dee Dee took a little more work. A couple of days (and a rather rushed shopping trip) later, and the party kicked off. It was there that she met one of Scorche's fellow team-mates, Silver Eagle. Alice was fairly shy at the start, but thanks to growing feelings, and some none-too-subtle shoving from Wild Child, she opened up quite alot to him. The pair have, in her mind at least, become lovers
