Miss Acacia was a famous young opera singer who had tragedy in her life but is now quite a wealthy business woman, all that information could be publicly researched. Bane’s Bansidhe on the other hand is more secretive, she will openly admit to being one of the Demon Bane’s key personnel and has a slightly crazed view that her voice has improved since her accident, other than that you’ll have to ask her yourself. | |

[edit] Character concept
Bane’s Bansidhe has been one of my longest surviving villains basically because I knew there was a potential to roleplay her, something until recently I had struggled with on the villain side of things. Originally I was kind of thinking “gothic rock chick” but instantly decided it was too stereotypical so decided to twist the idea on it’s head and make her more classical, sophisticated etc but something had to have happened to her voice. It was from there that the idea of the “bansidhe” sort of sprung and my knowledge of ghost stories/legends etc helped inspire me. The demonic pact line fell into place as I was writing her background (and since has been the main anchor point I needed in creating the rest of my role playable villains). I think there is potential for her to be played as a strong female role but also hints of tragedy and regret.

Originally a talented and very humble young musician, she showed none of the traits she has now. The accident was the turning point - regret and anger slowly twisting her views with Bane whispering promises of new glories to come. She plays the poor young victim well and uses it to ruthlessly blindside people in business deals. As Bansidhe she can seem spiteful and resentful, a cruel, calculating look in her eye. She also enjoys the high society lifestyle so can seem either very knowledgeable/experienced or aloof/arrogant. She adores flattery as part of her misses the fans she had when she was singing. Those that get close to her and seem of a similar mind (like Dastardly Duke Dante) she will treat with respect and as an equal.

Greed, power and wealth. She used to have the world at her feet as the young opera singer she was, now she wants the world on it’s knees worshipping her. Also she follows the Demon Bane’s will and commands without question.

After her car accident the damage done to her vocal chords changed what was once a beautiful voice. With the Demon Bane’s manipulation and power she has learnt to use her new voice box to drastic effect, damaging and even killing some people. She uses this to overcome opponents in the Rogue Islands but also to scare wealthy land owners to death in their sleep (hence her taking the Bansidhe name).

Through her contact with Bane and his realm she has developed some fire manipulation mainly to aid fellow members of the Dark Court or those she deems worthy of calling friends.

She has been experimenting with using sonic vibrations to levitate above the ground, as of yet she has had limited success but hopes that with time she will be able to hover maybe even fly.

She is still a keen musician although her voice has a more dramatic style in the Dark Court than she once had on earth. As a very active business woman she has a good mind where finances are concerned and how the corporate world works. Through travelling to the Dark Court she now has some understanding of Planar Dimensions and Demonology. As a member of high society, fine dining and etiquette are also very important to her.
[edit] Vulnerabilities
Jealousy is one of her major weaknesses and at times she cannot hide the resentment of the accident that ended her past. She has been known to fanatically follow new music talent almost to the level of stalker and this can cause her judgement to be clouded. Being tied to the demon realm somewhat she has an aversion to highly religious symbolism or faith. As most of her powers come from her voice then any enforced silence - either through magic, physical restraint etc renders her partially helpless. She is predominantly mortal so has normal mortality (although Bane would highly likely resurrect her in his demon plane).

She carries no equipment as such, Bansidhe has the wealth to pretty much buy whatever she needs. Her pride and joy is the recording studio she has had built on her estate, it is an odd room as there is a dark, twisted parallel in Bane’s Dark Court which is magically linked.

Orphaned at a young age when her parents mysteriously disappeared, young Chloe Acacia went to live with her wealthy aunt on her private estate. Interested in music from a young age, it soon became apparent to her aunt that chloe had a great deal of potential. She attended the top music tutors in the area and was awarded a scholarship at the private music college. By the age of 13 the classical music world was already showing a keen interest in her. At 16 she signed her first record deal and by 17 had released her first (and only) album. On her 18th birthday that all changed when she lost control of the car she was driving and crashed into a tree. She received severe throat injuries and had to have reconstructive surgery on her vocal chords - that once fine voice ruined! For a while she sank into depression and became very withdrawn, it was at this point that the Demon Bane approached her and convinced her she could use her new found voice in a different way. He took her to his Dark Court and showed how she could still entertain an audience. On the earthly plane it was a different matter as she found she could cause fear in the servants on her aunt’s estate. Bitterness and resentment grew inside charlotte as she felt her aunt constantly reminded her of the past she had lost. Late one night she crept into her aunt’s bedroom, focusing all that negative emotion she let out a terrible scream. Her aunt suffered a heart attack from fright, her hair turned white and her eardrums ruptured. Chloe inherited the entire estate and fortune, she promptly fired all of the staff so as to have the entire place to herself. Bane showed her how easy it had been, how with his influence, and her finding the right victim, she could amass more estates. Thus the seeds were sown. As Miss Acacia, the wealthy land owner, chloe mixes in high society circles and finds elderly, lonely land owners who she then frightens to death as Bane’s Bansidhe. When the land comes up for sale Miss Acacia always happens to be in the right place at the right time to buy up the property and thus her wealth has grown immensely. Bane has told her to start expanding into Paragon City and the Rogue Islands as he wishes to acquire land there, she does not know why but as always does as Bane wishes. She has made an ally in (Dastardly) Duke Dante who has made a deal with Bane to aid Chloe in exchange for power. The two get on very well as they have similar views and tastes, Duke helps Chloe find potential victims in the high society circles he is involved with and she helps him escape the deep loneliness he feels. As to the Demon Bane’s plan - no one but he knows.

Miss Acacia had a platinum selling CD entitled “A haunting voice of memories - a tribute to the greatest operatic female voices”.
