[edit] Background

[edit] Med School

Brenda Goodwin had always wanted to save lives. In secondary school, she came to love the biological sciences, and started on her path towards being a surgeon. She spent years of her life working away. Courses, Degrees, and Diplomas soon became her life's work. She made it to med school, and everything was going her way. Until one fateful night.

Brenda got a phone call from her parents. They said that there was a strange man standing outside the house, watching them. Brenda decided that as it wasn't too far, she'd go and see if she could assist her parents. When she arrived, she found her parents' house to be a slaughterhouse. Her parents had been brutally murdered, and the killer was nowhere to be found. Brenda ran out of the house, and down alleys, desperate to find the man. Desperate to make him pay. Eventually she came across somebody, and decided enough was enough.

Brenda never found out, or even questioned whether the man was guilty. But soon, she found herself standing over a corpse, blood in her hands, and organs removed. Of course, this information reached the media soon enough. Brenda was given both a lifetime imprisonment, and a lifetime ban from performing the medical sciences.

[edit] Confinement

Locked away, Brenda had plenty of time to consider her actions. She paced her cell, counted the days, and wondered how she managed to get into this situation. After what seemed like years, her dream finally came true; a mass breakout.

She decided to take advantage of whoever was being broken out, and escape with her fellow convicts. On her way to the exit, she discovered that Arachnos were her to bust a "true psycho" out. She didn't know who this was, but she was certainly envious. As she reached the exit, she found that other villain groups had taken this catastrophe to their advantage, and joined in the raid. It was at this point that Arachnos soldiers approached her, telling her to leave with them. She willingly accepted, before watching the guards drop at her feet.

[edit] Syringes and Saws

She awoke to find herself in a dim warehouse that smelled truly revolting. She was strapped to what appeared to be a rustic operating table, and her face was numb. After a few hours, figures gathered at the foot of the table, and murmered amongst themselves. After minutes of slurred speech, a light was turned on.

Brenda then adjusted herself to her surroundings. The figures appeared to be men. They wore stained surgical masks, skulls, and a ribcage surrounding a filthy apron. Brenda had heard of these men before. They were the vahzilok, and their surgical skills were second to none. A long, loud discussion followed. It started with Brenda furious at her captors, and demanding to be let go, and led on to a job offer. Brenda was told that she could put her renowned surgical skills to use under the name of vahzilok, or become ingredients to a cadaver. Due to Brenda's weak nature, and determination to avoid death, she accepted.

That day, Brenda became a mortificator. However, her skills did not go unnoticed. Dr Vahzilok himself saw potential in this mortificator, and sent her to become a facemaker. By this point, Brenda had learned that she took pleasure in her low-budget surgery. She was more than happy to perform it on people, and get payed to do so. Designing outfits and cosmetic surgery became Brenda's life. And it would remain so for quite some time.

[edit] Morphine and Mechanics

While she was at her peak in facemaking, Brenda took to the streets when she wasn't working. She allied with some of Recluses "Chosen Ones", and decided to help them achieve their petty goals. And she helped them the only way she knew how: morphine.

Using her own, particularly-strong batches of morphine, Brenda numbed her newfound allies whenever they needed it. She found that even when gravely wounded, her morphine helped her allies have the willpower to fight on, remove the threat, and give her time to fix the wound.

However, this method was not fast enough. She needed more morphine in the air, and faster. Unfortunately, Dr Vahzilok was not able to produce such an effect. Biological science could only go so far. Brenda then came to the conclusion that she needed a new source of superhumanity.

She arranged a meeting with some of the more renowned Freakshow, and agreed to meet them in an unuserd warehouse. Here, after explaining who she was, Brenda told her problem to the Freaks. As this was the famous "Beautiful Brenda", they didn't dare charge. They developed a glove that allowed dispersion of an airbourne drug, very similar to morphine. Along with this glove came a storage tank, and heavy metal plating for protection. When asked what alternatives there were, the freaks only had one answer; limb replacement. Brenda agreed without hesitation.

Brenda practiced using this new mechanical arm for months. She found it stedier in surgery than her own hand, and it dispersed the morphine-alternative perfectly. However, she was now so skilled in aiding her allies, she found herself useless at times, as her allies were in top shape. She also found herself tired, as carrying around the mechanical arm used up all her energy. She returned to the freaks to see what they could offer.

She left the warehouse with a further upgrade to her arm. Along with it's drug-dispersing technology, she now also harnessed the power of the Freakshow's own juicers. She could electrocute a number of adverseries in a variety of ways, and she could fly. The freaks had also fixed her energy problem, and "equipped" her with a freak favourite; the excelsior feeder. This allowed Brenda to have superadine pumping through her veins at every moment, granting her superhuman endurance. These upgrades and enhancements meant that the freakshow considered Beautiful Brenda one of their own now. Now, she is B34ut1ful Br3nd4: freak.
