The idea for this guy was originally “Wow, I really need to try a tanker some time”. Somewhere along the line I decided that I'd make a car robot, and he ended up as a psuedo tribute to Optimus Prime of Transformers fame. Don't ask me, I have no idea.

[edit] Affiliations
Automobilised’s most obvious affiliate is his flatmate and crime-fighting partner Enlightened Falcon. Their friendship consists of watching sci-fi marathons on TV, fighting crime and playing Crysis together on Hi-Def on a supercomputer, to list a few things.
He also feels an “immense dislike” towards Captain Daring, who accused him of being a “fallen Soviet spy satellite” (presumably due to his red colouration) among other things and refers to him as a “Trotskyist Trashcan.”

A generally caring yet tenacious and powerful individual. He’s eternally a good Samaritan, willing to go out of his way and go another ten miles to help someone. In fact, this is hardwired into his system, which physically prevents him from deviating from a way of life developed by the race which designed him. He can be inquisitive in his curious nature and is always eager to learn more about human culture.
He cannot actually hate anything that is alive, hostile alien entities excluded (Rikti and Humans are classed as alien; however, humans are also classed as friendlies unless their actions prove otherwise). Undead and other mechanical creatures are a different matter, although he feels no hatred towards them unless they do something to deserve it, in his eyes. He has a tendency of demanding people to “drop their weapons” if they pull out something tedious like a twig or a piece of cutlery.
He has also displayed a bizarre sense of humour. He often makes up random rumours and ghost stories to scare people and watch their reactions, experimenting on how gullible a certain human can be. He find this easy because “It’s simple to keep a straight face when you don’t technically have one”.
Auto has recently displayed rather irrational behaviour after being uploaded into a new chassis, after his old one was destroyed. He puts it down to inability to control the chassis properly, but it seems to be affecting the way his mind works as well.

Automobilised is bound by honour and programming to defend Earth and its inhabitants from the many forces that threaten to destroy it, specifically the Rikti. He is deeply troubled by the state of Earth as it is and tries to right it, bit by bit, gangbanger by gangbanger.

Auto’s most notable feature is his extremely durable chassis. This is constructed of old car parts and an unknown alien metal. An energy shield of sorts enshrouds Auto at all times. Reprogrammed nanomachines diligently perform constant maintenance which gives him a sort of “regeneration”, but he does not refer to it as this. Due to the way his AI’s “mind” is structured, he is extremely resistant to psionic attacks.

Auto also has an extremely high level of physical strength and can pick up and hurl a small truck. This could easily cave in a human’s skull. He holds his punches to prevent doing too much damage. Furthermore he has salvaged and recovered a pair of “stun guns” from the wreckage of his ship. He has integrated these into his chassis’ forearms, and uses them to disorient his opponents in close combat rather than smashing their faces in.

Auto is currently working on achieving some method of teleportation. He is currently trying to reverse-engineer the teleporters used in Rikti dropships to deploy troops, and incorporate it into his chassis.
