With issue 13 bringing empathy for villains I wanted to try it out and what better way than to combine it with another powerset I haven't tried in depth and since I don't like characters staying dead, I thought I'd bring back an old one.

Serves his mistress, Sitania Matriarch who is responsible for freeing him from hell.

His only other goals in life are to see his family again

Command over the dead. Antonio is capable of bringing up zombies to aid in his battles and having been tortured in hell for so long has become a master of pain and it's many thresholds.

As a side effect to his resurrection, he is almost impervious to pain himself and cannot die by any mortal means.

There are enchanted weapons that exist that could possibly kill him and it is believed that the death of his benefactor will send him right back to hell.

Born to Alicia Barzini and Tyrone Gar along with his twin sister, Silvia, Antonio was named after his grandfather but abducted by an agent of the Malta group along with his sister, trained as a fighter but eventually rescued by the Vindicators. As the two trained they began to manifest the ability to control kinetic energy on a purely instinctive level.

Antonio felt somewhat belittled, Silvia was always being ahead of her brother in terms of emerging powers and the ability to control them but she always waited for him to catch up. Eventually the two of them set out on patrol of the city, blitzing their way through Steel Canyon and even working their way through the mobs of Boomtown. Still lagging behind his sister, Antonio watched as she gained the abilty to fly while he had to run everywhere, relying on his strong legs to leap around and avoid obstacles.

Then came the next Rikti invasion. During one of the heavier bombardments, Antonio was separated from his sister. They each sought shelter in different parts of the city, during which time, Antonio fell prey to demons of hell and was killed. His body and soul were captured and he was bound in chains, trapped for the rest of eternity. During his capture he was visited by The Priest who attempted but failed to rescue the boy, absorbing his ability and carrying a small piece of himself back to his sister.

As the year passed slowly, he was torture beyond imagining, subjected to fire that burned but did not destroy him, blades that cut him but did not let him bleed and for months on end he felt he was done, only the intense pain bringing him back to the realisation of his situation. Then it came...

A dark servant, sent by Sitania, tore through the bindings and brought the boy back from the brink, emerging somewhere round Sharkhead Isle where he was set upon by Gunblade, an old ally of Sitania's. Gunblade carried him back to the Academy where he spent the next few months recovering, occasionally venturing back out into the real world just to prove to himself that it is not all just a dream.
